In August, Mushens Entertainment hosted our 2024 Summer party at The Conduit Club, a sustainability-focused member’s club located next to Pineapple Dance Studios in Covent Garden. The party was on the top floor in the elegant Rucola restaurant and though the weather was not quite on our side regarding the huge gusts of wind, some guests also enjoyed the rooftop terrace with views across London.

Party-goers had their pictures snapped against the bright pink Mushens Entertainment banner, took souvenir photos with fun props in our vintage-style photobooth, and enjoyed two Mushens Entertainment-renamed cocktails, the PaloME and the MEgroni! The invitation instructed attendees to “dress to impress” and they certainly did.

 It was a chance to celebrate the previous year with the authors, editors, scouts, and everybody else who had made such a successful year at Mushens Entertainment possible. Juliet thanked everybody for their remarkable achievements, referencing the incredible breadth of our list, from sleuthing pensioners to ‘horny elves’!, alongside our numerous 2024 Sunday Times bestselling authors. She then raised a toast, looking forward to an extremely exciting 2025.

 It was a dream party to attend, especially for the many introverts in publishing, because each and every guest was so friendly. While it was a forum for old colleagues and friends to catchup, every partygoer also wanted to meet the fresh faces in the room, so for the newer ME authors and team members, it was a fun opportunity to put faces to names. As the ME team made their way home after a delightful evening, we were already looking forward to our Summer party 2025!
