The Mushens Entertainment Summer Party 2023

Last month we celebrated the annual Mushens Entertainment Summer Party, one of our favourite events in the agency’s social calendar! We look forward to this all year round, and finally the time had come for us to head over to the speakeasy-style Jack Solomons Club in Soho for a night of canapés, themed cocktails, and photobooth antics…

This was our biggest summer party to date, and we had a blast catching up with our wonderful authors, as well as the editors and scouts who champion our books. The Summer Party is a great chance to celebrate the agency’s achievements from the past year, and Juliet stepped up to the microphone to do just that in her speech:

“We’ve had an absolutely stonking year. We outgrew the last venue, and we added Alba and Catriona to the team, Kiya’s been promoted, Rachel’s also been promoted to agent. Since the last summer party, we’ve had more than ten Sunday Times Bestsellers and five number one bestsellers. It’s lovely seeing the agency going from strength to strength.”

So many of our brilliant authors were able to attend this year – all of them enjoying the photo and GIF booth expertly ran by the team over at EventRhino. There were lots of new faces at this year’s party, and it was lovely to see them meet other #TeamMushens authors for the first time. There were also plenty of familiar guests, many of whom coordinated a huge group shot in the photobooth, with Juliet firmly in the middle! 

The Mushens Entertainment Summer Party is a lovely moment where we celebrate our wins from the past year alongside our brilliant authors. 2023’s party was definitely a rousing success – we can’t wait to see what the next year will bring!
