Chris MacDonald
Chris MacDonald is a novelist and screenwriter who lives with his wife and two children by the sea in Margate.
His play ‘Eye of a Needle’ played at the Southwark Playhouse and he has various TV and film projects ongoing.
Chris trained as an actor at Drama Centre and has worked for the BBC, the RSC and Amazon Studios and multiple commercial clients. He has also worked as a journalist and videographer for commercial clients including American Airlines. He plays many musical instruments and his band have soundtracked several mainstream TV shows.
He undertook Faber's novel writing course during which he started writing his debut Happy Ever After which was published under the name C.C. MacDonald. The book was optioned for screen by ITV.
His latest novel, The Actor, which follows a controversial method actor who is haunted by events at his drama school years earlier, was published by Michael Joseph in January 2024.
