Abigail Dean and Laura Purcell win at the Capital Crime Fingerprint Awards

Abigail Dean and Laura Purcell both won at the Capital Crime Fingerprint Awards, for their novels Girl A and The Shape of Darkness.

The Capital Crime Fingerprint Awards celebrate the best in crime and thriller, featuring novels published the year before (2021). The winners are voted for by the public and announced at the Capital Crime Festival.

Abigail Dean won the Debut Book of the Year 2021 Award for Girl A, with the HarperCollins team winning the Industry Award for their work on the book. Laura Purcell won the Historical Crime Book of the Year 2021 Award for her novel The Shape of Darkness.
