Books in the Media

Our wonderful authors have received some great press this week!

MISS AUSTEN INVESTIGATES by Jessica Bull has received a fabulous review in Publishers Weekly. They write: “Bull’s Jane is an endearingly clumsy detective, equal parts clever and impulsive, and the investigation contains the kind of high stakes that similar breezy historicals often lack. This series seems destined for a long run.”

Paste Magazine wrote a glowing review of Elodie Harper’s THE TEMPLE OF FORTUNA: “Harper’s Wolf Den trilogy is exactly the sort of historical fiction we need more of: Not just a great story with compelling characters at its center, but one that gives the figures from history who have rarely been given the chance to speak for themselves for one. Women like Amara have been left to languish on the sidelines of the history we’d rather remember for far too long, but with Harper’s help—-and hopefully that of more writers like her—-we’ll see them all get the chance to step into the light.”

The Washington Post named GODKILLER by Hannah Kaner as one of their best SFF novels of 2023!

The Washington Post also announced that THE LAST DEVIL TO DIE is one of their 10 best mystery novels of 2023! “This fourth volume in Osman’s beloved “Thursday Murder Club” series, starring a quartet of septuagenarian sleuths, may be his best yet. Once again, Elizabeth, Joyce, Ibrahim and Ron must use their wits to track down a killer, but this time the danger they face also serves as a valuable distraction from a tragic situation close to home. Keep a hankie handy for this one.”
