Liza and Kiya have been promoted to Foreign Rights Manager and Senior Assistant at Mushens Entertainment
As featured in The Bookseller, Liza DeBlock is now foreign rights manager and agent at Mushens Entertainment, while Kiya Evans has been promoted to senior assistant, open to submissions for the first time.
Liza had a fantastic year in 2022, having been picked as a Bookseller Rising Star and securing 141 translation deals for the agency. She also grew her own client list and has secured deals for writers such as Stacey Thomas (sold at auction to HQ), chef Sally Abé (pre-empted by Fleet) and helped Pim Wangtechawat’s début find a home at Netflix with Gemma Chan producing.
After working at Mushens Entertainment for two years and supporting a record-breaking year for clients, Kiya has been promoted to senior assistant and is now looking to build her own list of clients.
We’re so proud of Liza and Kiya and look forward to seeing them grow their lists of talented authors. You can find information on how to submit to both here.
