Mushens Entertainment and the SYP team up for event
Join Mushens Entertainment on Wednesday, 26th May from 6-7PM as they speak with the Society of Young Publishers during their new events series, Everything But Editorial.
Do you want to work in the publishing industry but aren’t quite sure which part?
If you have ever questioned what a foreign rights team does, who sells books, what skills a production assistant needs, how literary agents work, or what in the world a literary scout is, then look no further.
Everything But Editorial will demystify the various parts of the publishing industry that you always see on job adverts but might not be sure exactly what the role entails.
On May 26th from 18:00-19:00, The SYP’s first event of the series will be about agents and agencies. Liza DeBlock will interview Juliet Mushens and Silé Edwards from Mushens Entertainment about exactly what an agent does, what skills someone needs for an entry level role, and how agents and agencies fit into the larger publishing industry. A brief discussion will be followed by a Q&A at the end by audience members.
