Holliday Granger to narrate Girl A audiobook

The actress Holliday Granger will narrate the audiobook of Girl A by Abigail Dean. Known for her roles in Strike, Animals, and My Cousin Rachel, she has been nominated for Best Actress (British Independent Film Awards) for her role on stage in Animals, and appeared in the Emmy-nominated series Patrick Melrose, opposite Benedict Cumberbatch.

Grainger will voice the story of Lex Gracie, the girl who escaped her parents’ house of horrors. Abigail Dean’s debut novel has sold in 27 territories, been optioned by Sony for television, and received praise from authors including Paula Hawkins, Jessie Burton, Chris Whitaker, Louise O’Neill and Sophie Hannah.

Grainger said: “I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to voice Lex’s story. Girl A is an incredible tale of survival and hope, and I know it’s going to be huge next year. I hope people enjoy listening to the audiobook as much as I enjoyed recording it.”

Dean said: “I couldn't be happier that Holliday will be Girl A's audiobook narrator. I love her work, from Animals to My Cousin Rachel, and I know that she'll truly bring Lex and the Gracie family to life.”

Girl A will be published in print and audio on 21 January 2021.
