Congratulations to Louise O’Neill and Richard Osman, who are bestsellers this week. Louise O’Neill is #1 in the Irish bestsellers chart this week with Idol, whilst Richard Osman is #1 and #7 in the UK paperback chart with The Man Who Died Twice and The Thursday Murder Club, respectively.

Idol was published in the UK and Ireland on 12th of May and has charted at #1 on the Irish hardback chart. Louise’s last book, After the Silence, also hit the Irish bestseller list, spending three weeks in the charts. Louise returns to the charts with another gripping book club read for adults, this time focused on the world of online influencers.

Richard Osman’s The Man Who Died Twice and The Thursday Murder Club are the #1 paperback and #7 paperback respectively in the UK this week. The Thursday Murder Club follows Joyce, Ibrahim, Ron and Elizabeth, four octogenarians living in a retirement home, who meet on Thursday evenings to investigate unsolved killings. Richard’s second novel in the series, The Man Who Died Twice, was published in September 2021 and immediately became a #1 Sunday Times bestseller. It was one of the fastest-selling novels since records began, selling over 100,000 copies in its first week.
