Richard Osman and Claire Douglas take #1 spots on hardback and paperback bestseller charts

We are thrilled to announce that two Mushens Entertainment authors have taken the #1 hardback and #1 paperback positions on the Sunday Times Bestsellers list this week!

Richard Osman’s third novel in The Thursday Murder Club series, THE BULLET THAT MISSED, has stormed to the #1 hardback position with 127,743 copies sold in a partial week! The only hardback adult fiction to have higher first week sales are from Dan Brown and Harper Lee, making THE BULLET THAT MISSED the fastest selling adult fiction title EVER from a British author since BookScan records began in 1998. Richard also sits at #4 and #6 on the paperback list with The Man Who Died Twice, and The Thursday Murder Club respectively.

Meanwhile, Claire Douglas’ eighth novel, THE GIRLS WHO DISAPPEARED, has sold 12,000 copies in its first partial week, bringing it to the #1 paperback position! This follows on from Claire’s success with The Couple at No. 9, which has now sold in its 15th territory. Claire Douglas’ The Girls Who Disappeared (Penguin) ended the five-week run of Colleen Hoover’s It Ends With Us (S&S) atop the Mass Market Fiction chart.
