It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for! Yesterday, Richard Osman announced his new crime series We Solve Murders on the This Morning show. Juliet had a fantastic morning visiting ITV Studios with Richard and seeing his interview filmed live, where he discussed his new series, his deep love for The Thursday Murder Club cast, and teased that some exciting actors will feature in The Thursday Murder Club film adaption. The No.1 Bestselling author’s hilarious and charming new series focuses on father-in-law and daughter-in-law crime solving duo, Steve and Amy Wheeler, and will be published in September 2024.

And a puzzling new murder to solve . . .

Steve Wheeler is enjoying retired life. He does the odd bit of investigation work, but he prefers his familiar habits and routines: the pub quiz, his favourite bench, his cat waiting for him when he comes home. His days of adventure are over: adrenaline is daughter-in-law Amy’s business now.

Amy Wheeler thinks adrenaline is good for the soul. As a private security officer, she doesn’t stay still long enough for habits or routines. She’s currently on a remote island keeping world-famous author Rosie D’Antonio alive. Which was meant to be an easy job...

The series will be published on September 12th in the UK and September 17th in the US. The stylish UK and US covers have already drawn much admiration from Osman fans, particularly from cat lovers, who are looking forward to seeing some feline cameos in We Solve Murders. In the ME office, we are already anticipating adding an illustration of the cat to our collection of The Thursday Murder Club fox prints!
