Vanessa Savage
Vanessa Savage is a graphic designer and illustrator. She lives in South Wales with her husband and two daughters.
Her debut novel, The Woman in the Dark, was bought at auction by Sphere in the UK and Grand Central Publishing in the US and was published as a lead title in January 2019. Her second novel, The Woods, was published in January 2020.
She has twice been awarded with a Writers’ Bursary by Literature Wales, most recently for The Woman in the Dark.
She won the Myriad Editions First Crimes competition and her work has been highly commended in the Yeovil International Fiction Prize, short-listed for the Harry Bowling Prize, and the Caledonia Fiction Prize.
She has also had short stories published in various magazines and anthologies, and her work was broadcasted on the radio as a highly commended winner of the Commonwealth Short Story Competition.
Her third book, The Night They Vanished, was published by Sphere in the UK and Grand Central in the US in May 2022.
